Archive Wedding Cake Design
It’s always a creatives dilemma deciding what work you hold on to. I like to keep my wedding cake portfolio fresh and new, and my design, sugar craft skills and style have evolved over the years. A lot have been relegated to the past but there are a few that I still stand by, however the technique or photography don’t quite cut where I am today.
All about the design…
I am naturally not a classic ‘romance and lace’ cake designer, I feel my cake designs offer an alternative for modern brides and grooms with a keen eye for contemporary styling. It is easy to slip into creating what is around or in magazines, rather than carving out your own individual style, but I see clients as individual as their tastes are - choice is a great thing.
Sugar art
I have developed a very realistic style to my newer work and sugar craft, influenced by the clean, balanced designs from Japan and other Asian influences. Keeping even heavily floral designs paired back with plain tiers, mono colours or contemporary placement and arrangement. You can see my most recent work here - recent wedding cake designs
As for my older work, a few I will review, remake and re shoot, but until then please feel free to have a browse - if anything takes your fancy do let me know, I will be happy to create or revisit for you.
